Washers

Washers have two main groups: the flat washer and the spring washers, which latter have three models: single-, double- and triple spring washer. Triple spring washers are used in rail fastening systems mainly with T bolts in order to tighten the nut turned onto the bolt and to prevent its loosening in response to permanent dynamic forces from the movement of rolling stock along the track, double spring washers go mostly with sleeper screws, while flat washers may in some cases be used with sleeper screws in order to widen the surface of fixing the head of the screw like in case of sleeper screw Ss35 with pre-mounted flat washer Uls7.
